The 3 pronged trident symbol associated with Neptune pushes on the areas that have hardened and formed. Chiseling, chiseling, chipping, prodding and crackling away at the known. As Neptune meets up with Father Sun today, the influence can be unsettling. The Sun primarily governs the ego, the identified self, the identity. Neptune is one of the "outer planets' in that it is one of the Planets farthest away from the Sun. Neptune sitting out in the distance embodies the collective unconscious or the understanding of universal connection with all beings. The Sun runs around saying "I AM" and Neptune floats around saying "that's us man, that's all of us, and we are ONE". In the world of matter and spirit, the reality is that we are both. Spiritual consciousness is obtained through going beyond oneself and entering into the realm of spirit. 'Neptunification' is dissolving all that one believes in holds the definition of the self as an individual and transforming by entertaining the notion of no separation. What happens when the "self" disappears, how much can we surrender to the ALL and still maintain a healthy connection with the Earth plane? The goal of Neptune is not to completely obliterate the Ego, but to push as much as is needed to open the individual to greater connection and sensory understanding of the universal, and release old stale beliefs that are in the way of "enlightenment". Its a "spiritualization" process that asks us to "surrender" some of what we have come too attached in the definition of ourselves. As one can imagine, there is a fine line between hard physical factual reality and the world that entertains the imagination and synchronicities that cannot be predicted or contained but a "knowing" a "feeling", an invisible, yet visible connected thread to the magical unfolding of what we know as our universe.
Venus and Mars are in Aries which is the sign of the courageous warrior, the individualist, the "go getter". Well, with the Sun being led to go nowhere but deep into the vast universe within and without and to gaze out into the world with soft eyes, there is some "confusion". Go forward with great strength into the abyss? Perhaps. Watch what may be unfolding within you coming up for review in the knowledge of who you are and think you are. What can be turned over to allow us to experience the loving, compassionate, connected universe of which we belong? It is entirely possible that behind the perception of our senses, worlds are hidden of which we are unaware. Albert Einstein

![]() The Sun is now in Pisces, the sign associated with two fish swimming in what appears to be opposite directions, forming a circular shape and some existence of a connection to each other. One fish represents matter and one fish represents spirit. Pisces is one of the mutable signs so it can vacillate between the two realms of Earth and the Heavens. Protected by a thin membrane of skin that has evolved into scales, they can be very sensitive to the world around them. Fish utilize vibrations and detect currents through their sensitivity and some can even create and detect electrical currents. When managing the connection to the “seen and unseen”, the imagination can be a tool to assist in being able to maintain the idyllic, dreamy vision alongside the more harsh realities of material factual reality. Maintaining an open channel to the infinite and the absolute requires incredible receptivity and this can also be a place of overwhelm. As this is the case, fish are known to require solace and turn to hiding when they don’t feel secure or need to adjust to the stimulus. With so many Planets currently in Pisces, we may feel a sense of greater sensitivity and receptivity to our world. From this sensitivity we find compassion as to walk in another’s shoes can be a lesson for us all. Fire is brewing beneath the watery abyss of Pisces with Jupiter in Leo reminding Pisces Planets that it is okay to claim the stage and share the vision. Saturn in Sagittarius reminds Pisces to stay disciplined and bring the idealism back down to Earth so that we can have faith and learn. Mars is about to jump out of the water world and into the fire of Aries which should give us all a shot in the arm to will us into action rather than contemplation. Mars is at home in fearless fiery Aries and will lure Venus to join him very soon. Happy Lunar New Year! ![]() As unusual as Aquarius can be, this month the sign Aquarius claims two New Moons in a row! The first was in the early degrees calling forth young, uncharted energy whereas the New Moon tomorrow is in the final moments of Aquarius at 29 degrees 59 seconds! This pivotal point calls forth energy of remembrance to carry forward what we have learned and mastered while leaving behind what is no longer useful. As Aquarius can bring about flashes of insight, take a moment to breathe and pay attention to any brilliant or wild ideas that may arise around or leading up to this New Moon. For your personal influence from the New Moon, look to the house 29 degree Aquarius falls in to see where in your life you may experience your intuitive flash of inspiration. Aquarius encourages us to be” freaky” which is essentially to be the unique individual that you are. We all come from the same ingredients; however, we still carry markers of our own individualism such as our fingerprints, our voice, and our scent. Lately the energy of the Universe, with 4 Planets in Pisces, has been activating dreaming and sleeping, motivating us to look beyond physical reality to the sky above and to the synchronicity of things. Getting lost in time and the drifting about has been encouraged. Letting go as life may have reminded us that gripping tightly and trying to control the unfolding just does not work. When we are centered in a space of allowing like a shell in the oceans tides, we don’t drown, but we float effortlessly, trusting and flowing with, rather than against the current. After the Moon’s kiss with the Aquarius Sun, the Sun moves 48 seconds later into Pisces. Three minutes after that, the Moon joins the Sun in Pisces with Mars, Venus, and Neptune. As Venus and Mars approach the 29th degree of Pisces, what is driving our vision, our relationship with the mystical world, and what is ending? On Feb 20th, Mars, Venus and the Moon will move into bold, courageous, and adventurous Aries shifting out of the somewhat complacent and floating energy of Pisces. We can be fueled by the fire’s glow to ignite ourselves forward, gathering up the will and drive to “get a move on” once again and relate passionately with others and encouraging our warrior within. The Sun will spend time shining in the Pisces constellation for a month, keeping the vision alive, the compassion and sensitivity to dream and while reigning in the tendency to float away. Saturn in Sagittarius and the Arian energy of Venus and Mars will add fire to get that Piscean water bubbling and boiling, keeping it engaged rather than stagnant, and still but percolating into effervescence! Dream big and with courage as we embark on the Year of the Goat! The Aquarian Sun is opposing Jupiter in Leo today. The Sun says to Jupiter, “Now I know you are the largest Planet in my solar system, but that does not make you King!” Jupiter enthusiastically says “Well, I sure feel like a King- just look at all my talents!” The Aquarian Sun knowing that it wants everyone to celebrate their diversity and difference appreciates Jupiter’s optimism but retorts “Just don’t get too full of yourself that you think everything is about YOU and how you are so special!” As they dialog, they are trying to find a balance point in their opposition. Mercury is in Aquarius in the famous “retrograde” placement when we attribute all the snafus in our lives to this small, but close winged messenger. Slow down a little to think before you speak and give yourself a little more time to get around. Mercury is getting support to spend time reviewing alternative approaches from Saturn in Sag who seeks to understand the greater meaning of it all. The Moon is in Virgo opposing the great cluster of Planets in Pisces which tries to serve the heart by producing something tangible from the intangible mystical influences. A humble, task oriented, waning Moon retreats from the Fullness of a few days ago in Leo. The heart wants to engage our innate wounding and move past it with acceptance as we tend to our own healing and commit ourselves to service for ourselves and our world.

At this stage or while on the “stage”, we realize we can create through interaction with our environment and ourselves. It is through creation that we express our talents and gifts. In the moment of creation, there is stillness and then something arises and comes into being. Like the spark of a match where combustion becomes fire, there is the first paint stroke on the canvas, the first beat of music, the first line of a poem, and the first step in the dance. In those moments, we radiate from within as our fire pulses out into the world shining our inner light. When we are young and our experiences in this lifetime are limited, our approach to the world has not yet formed and calcified like adults. We question, we investigate, we touch, we test, we smell, we taste, we push…what does this ______ do? From all the information gathering and life experiences, we form theories, attitudes, beliefs, and expectations. Sometimes the information serves us well- when stepping into a street, it is best to look both ways. And sometimes, the information blocks or colors our experience- if I eat red foods my stomach will hurt. We base our understandings and ways of being on the past, not the present. Putting away the clamor of thoughts related to future responsibilities and prior outcomes, we can attempt to be present with what is and open to our inherent creative expression. So for this Full Moon, see if you can explore and engage in the world like a naïve child, co-creating your world with intrigue and openness. This Full Moon is joined by Jupiter so look just to the left of the rising Moon in the East and just to the right of the Moon as it sets in the West to gaze upon Jupiter. Jupiter expands or emphasizes the Leonean fire. Jupiter desires to magnify the creativity in support of our individual expression. Jupiter will be encouraging us to really unleash that the playful, creative self. Bring on the performance or play time!! Uranus in Aries will be igniting the flames offering the courage to show our individuality without restriction and concern for others judgment. “Remember when you were young? You shone like the sun.” Shine on you Crazy Diamond by Pink Floyd. |
