Sometimes you just look at the chart and you see visuals that are so distinct. The chart of today contains that “in your face” pattern where the majority of the Planets are on one half of the sphere. At the moment I pulled the chart, the top half of the circle was filled with Planets while the lower half had only the Planet Uranus. Each section of the chart has a meaning or a vector of experience. We view the circle as the horizontal diameter being reflective of the horizon we see visually on Earth. Below this horizon line is the world beneath our feet. Each moment the chart rotates like a clock as the sign on the horizon shifts with the Earth’s rotation. At Sunset, the Sun, the circle and the dot glyph, descends to the right side of the horizon line. At the horizon, we see the Pisces Moon opposing Jupiter in Virgo…hmmm, the heart and emotional backdrop today in the sign of the Mystic, the Poet, the Artist, and the Dreamer confronting magnanimous Jupiter in Virgo, the sign of the Servant, the Mentor, and the Craftsperson. Virgo has a tendency to strive towards perfection which is a noble feat, however can lead to neurosis and worry if not managed through action and doing the things to make the “perfection” a more plausible reality. Idle hands can be their demise and skilled tasks can be patiently and masterfully conducted. We are trying to balance this energy of imagination and the creative, with a motivation to be useful and produce fruits and concrete evidence of these efforts. We are being given an opportunity to try to take all that we know inherently from our spiritual being which may seem as though it is not quantifiable or describable, yet bring it here, in front of you. With Venus and Mercury in Capricorn, the same “Earth” element of Virgo, we are given an additional bump towards working on the physical plane. With the recent New Moon now in Crescent phase, you can start to move towards those things you planted or seeded a few days ago regarding ways to express yourself authentically and to create that vision you envision. With Mars stimulating the Moon, we may be experiencing a desire to go deeper with some vigor in reaching towards transforming the emotions that we surrender too at times.

Lunar New Year February 8, 2016 6:39 AM Pacific Standard Time
It is the time of year that the Moon has completed 12 New Moon’s orbiting the Earth and will now begin a new cycle of lunar rotations. We think of the Moon and we think of feelings, family, emotions, and the ties that affect our emotional bodies, the spectrum of emotional experience. During the Lunar New Year, we are encouraged to connect with our hearts, our family, and our emotions. While the Sun rules our sanity, our radiant selves, and our vitality- the Moon rules our happiness. It connects into a deeper part of us that we may reference as the soul, a part that affects our mood and flavors our experience through our hearts engagement. Emotional moments are timeless; igniting a certain quality of feeling in us that floods our hearts and marks our being. We can be forever changed from things in life that touch our hearts. This New Moon in Aquarius will be grappling with our will, trying to determine what we are really passionate about and are willing to go the extra mile for to see the truth, and what we are willing to let go of that may not be aligned with our desire. There is a lot of focus on that which we may want to commit to and be responsible for in our relations, our communication and in our soul’s transformation. There is a push to have some inspiration around that which we can stay true to and really believe in while still being open to the unexpected and the uncharted territory of experience. Being willing to connect with our hearts, and with the spirits that guide us, our beliefs in that which lies beyond us or in us that is not the tangible but can profoundly impact our sense of duty and our sense of purpose. If we can find that which is authentic for us, developing our compassion and empathy, and bring that forth to flourish in our daily acts of grace, we can begin to find the meaning of it all. Finding a goal, a life choice that requires discipline and hard work looks promising if the commitment is followed through daily. What is it that your heart longs for if the sky were the limit? How can you push beyond what you hold true if all things were possible and give of yourself wholeheartedly? How can you let your heart dream and grasp your passion? During this New Moon in Aquarius, we find the Moon at 19 degrees. Where this falls in your personal birth chart will indicate where New Life and New Beginnings are birthing. Here is where you may choose to open your heart wide to all things possible, plant seedlings for the fruits of your labor, and take a moment to offer the recognition of your true heart’s desire. To reflect on your many loves, loved ones, and the bridges and mountains of love you can build each day fulfilling that which brings you joy and peace. Happy Lunar New Year!! Sagittarius Moon is in the waning crescent phase as it heads towards New Moon on the 8th of February. Today the Moon meets up with Saturn, the Lord of Karma, known for its penchant for responsibility and structure as well as the chronological unfolding of life. The Moon and Saturn will stimulate the Sun today creating an adventurous, fiery flavor seeking the greater meaning of it all through stepping back and viewing the “big picture”. With three Planets in Capricorn, we find Venus, Pluto and Mercury holding court and inquiring into that which we can commit to and that which is not aligned with our master plan can be released. With the recent connection of Mercury and Pluto in the past few weeks, things may have felt a bit intense as the having the Planets of the Unconscious and Communication teaming up may have veered us into shadow lands. The shadows can bring up the parts we may have brushed away under the carpet, not ready to be dealt with, but lately those areas have been called to our attention. With Mars, the activator of our will in the sign of Scorpio we are again reminded of that which may lurk beneath the covers, the undercurrent of raw truth that wants us to see its essence and deal with it. As Mercury is still recovering from its retrograde period, not quite at the point of which it began its cycle, we are still reviewing where we have been and in a somewhat contemplative phase until the 14th of February when Mercury leaves the shadow phase and gets curious about what lies ahead. Now we are tying up the loose ends, discarding that which does not serve, and "ramping up" to build that which aligns more with our values. Much of the emphasis right now is on our relationships and our place in society and not so much on our personal growth except to “shake things up from the norm” with Uranus in Aries. We are asked to seek the vision, go outside the box, and stick with the structures that will allow us to traverse the mountain and reach the peak.
