TTTaurus Moon today After the rush of fire from the Aries Moon, the Earthly Taurus Moon takes a breath and calms itself. It wants to root itself into the soil, feel the stability, and take in it's surroundings, slowly and steadily. For Taurus can be likened to a turtle, rushing is not the objective, but rather proceeding at a consistent pace. The Moon finds itself in contact with Jupiter and Mars who are currently in Scorpio, the opposite sign of Taurus. This morning you could see the beautiful conjunction of these 2 Planets above. Scorpio, a water sign, likes to submerge in deep, still water, engaging with what lies beneath the surface. It seeks to gather clues as to what is truly at play. We may find that we want dig a little deeper into situations right now. With Neptune supporting the investigation, we are warned to not let ourselves get lost or confused. Mercury in fiery Sagittarius is in with tension to Neptune, which could cause us to get carried away in our heads. The stellium (4 Planets) in Capricorn asks us to get to it, whatever we have been putting off , it is time to get serious. Capricorn lends a hand to the Moon to stay the course, breathe, and keep moving. When the going gets tough, BREATHE, and notice what is right in front of you. The FULL Moon will be here on New Years Day.

In the wee hours this morning, the Moon made a square aspect to the Sun creating "First Quarter Moon". When we see squares or 90 degree angles of one planet to another, it creates a tension, a turning point, a crisis. Visually as one gazes at the Moon, you can see it is split right in half, one half illuminated and the other half in the darkness. For us as individuals this creates a feeling of unrest, a decision or a choice point is prodding us. We can see what has come to fruition since the New Moon, and feel it is time to get our "ducks in order" for the Full Moon in a week. We find many Planets in Capricorn now. Saturn, Venus, Pluto, and the Sun are all gathering together in the sign that does not "suffer fools gladly". Some may call it the boss of the zodiac or the authority, for this is the 3rd representation of Earth, following Taurus and Virgo. Once it arrives at Capricorn, the Earth element contains wisdom. We may experience this energy as it is time to stand up, find your backbone, let go of the excuses and carve the gemstone. No matter the difficulty, Capricorn demands commitment and progress, effort, and resilience. The mountain top will not suddenly arrive at your doorstep without strength and conviction to reach the peak. It may be hard, and in that challenge, one finds their backbone, the abilities that may lay buried if not pushed to test the limits. Feeling exhausted? Feeling like you need to keep going, yet, you are tired? The wisdom is held in staying the course, one step at at time, to finally reach the pinnacle. With the Moon in Aries, we can summon the warrior, the fighter to push through the tension. Aries is fire and when ignited will unleash an unstoppable force. It is in our best interest to channel that itch, that angst, into something constructive. Later today, the Moon will form a tension with Pluto, the ruler of the unconscious. Whatever is revealed to you or seems to nag at you could point to something deeper than the surface. Hold your tongue and go within, leaning into the strength of the Capricorn's fortitude. To a well traveled and liberating journey! Sagittarius SAG-IT-TAR-I-US This sign has the most syllables of any other sign in the zodiac. For this reason, some prefer to say "SAG". What is interesting about this is that Sagittarius is known for seeing the glass half full, the optimism is absolutely contagious with this sign. For the essence of Sagittarius is to believe, believe that the truth or the knowledge one seeks lies just over the horizon, just over the rainbow. With this vision, Sagittarius prompts us to explore, to follow one's inspiration, to navigate uncharted territory. This can be likened to a child who is in anticipation of Christmas. Christmas has many myths and icons where one believes that a portly man wearing a red suit flys through the sky and comes down a chimney with just what you wished for. We all know the story. Children embrace this "make believe" story and it ignites a fire within. Conjuring up dreams and fantasies of just what Santa will bring. What is your vision? When we come in contact with our vision, we come into contact with our soul's desires. Our soul has yearnings that want to be fulfilled during this lifetime. We know the ego has it's own plans and schemes, however, if we let down that facade and enter the imaginal realm, we can explore our ultimate wishes. In order to access the soul, we are encouraged to relax and enter a calm environment. If that is available to you by lying down , listening to music, going outside- do whatever takes you into a space of openness. Listen to your breath and let your imagination guide you. Close your eyes and imagine yourself walking down a road, what does the road look like? What do you see, what do you smell, is anyone with you? Keep following the path, where are you going? Take yourself to the place of your ideal home, how does it appear, what does it look like? Who is there? What is inside and outside the home? How do you feel? What do you find yourself doing? What is going on in your life? Take a few moments to jot down what you see and feel in this vision. Focus on what you truly want and make a vow to yourself to keep that near and dear to your heart as we embark on the New Year. Make a pact to honor your heart's desire and keep your vision with you. With this New Moon at 26 degrees Sagittarius, we all have an opportunity to dream a little dream. To plant that seed of what we envision for ourselves. What would you put on your Santa wish list? |
