The Stars are Talking! 9.19.18
Today we find the Moon in Capricorn. It just went by Pluto, which can bring a more serious tone to life, as Capricorn is making sure we are reaching towards something of value, and Pluto leans into transformative work. Of greater interest at the moment is the Lunar Nodes. The Nodes of the Moon are not actual masses but points in space that indicate where the Moon crosses the Ecliptic. The Ecliptic is the path of the Sun in a year. When the Moon and Sun line up on the Ecliptic, we have an (drumroll)_____________________ ECLIPSE!!!
In the context of Evolutionary Astrology, we refer to the South Node of the Moon (upside down horseshoe) as the Past that ideally you are bringing with you those learned talents as well as moving towards the North Node (horseshoe symbol that makes an N shape). When applied to the collective, we look at the Nodes when we see activity being triggered.
Over the entire Summer Mars was hanging out with the South Node in a retrograde state. Retrogrades imply the past as well as the South Node. This put an energetic spin on all situations this Summer that made the energy field akin to the past. In the vain of Aquarius, the experience may have seemed a little unpredictable, without a filter, and/or traumatic. Aquarius is a sign of genius, and it arises thereby not following the herd and therefore, as a change agent can get a lot of flack. In our personal lives, we may have been reminded of old wounds and old traumas that pushed us in the direction of claiming our authentic selves, no matter how different we are. As we know, moving outside the box does not feel comfortable, yet it leads to liberation.
Back to today, we find Uranus in Square aspect to the Nodes of the Moon. When this occurs, the Planet of Thunder and Lightning is interacting with the journey of our evolution. Uranus may decide to "shake things up" as it abhors routine and conditioned reality. Venus in Scorpio is across from Uranus, also squaring the Nodes. Venus rules relating to others and our values. Venus in Scorpio will seek to keep our relating really really real, no BS, no matter how hard it is for us. Ultimately, the potential to bring up experiences with others that may shock us or derail us, and we need to have in order to transform the muck into gold, and our best direction forward. Saturn will do his best to settle the potential chaos and remind us to look at the bigger picture and commit to what will stand the test of time.
Hang on to your hats! It looks like by Saturday the Moon will move into Pisces bringing us into sentimental and romantic feelings. Venus will start to chill and the Sun will shift to Libra on Sunday asking us to consider the other and seek balance and peace.

Sagittarius Moon 9/15/2018
The Moon entered Sagittarius last night from Scorpio. The last few days may have had a bit of an intense edge as Scorpio is fulfilled by the rich and raw deep truths of our existence. It is keen to pick up what is not being said, what shadows would like to emerge and the nirvana of very close intimacy. As the Moon met up with Jupiter in Scorpio, the essence of Scorpio's desire was further emphasized. Did anything come up for you in the past day and a half that brought you closer to ultimate truth?
Now we have shifted to the Sagittarius energy which believes the answers lie just around the next bend. This belief gives Sagittarius an optimistic view of life. Sagittarius holds that life is a journey and it's unfolding brings more and more knowledge. In this way, Sagittarius can enjoy traveling to foreign lands and experiencing different cultures in order to bring more understanding to the meaning of our existence.
Today the Moon will commune with Chiron, the Wounded Healer. A centaur that had a cut which could not heal as he was immortal. The wound had to be incorporated and integrated into the self and through this journey, Chiron became able to help others heal their wounds. Aries is the sign associated with courage, so courage to be yourself is at play with this energy.
May this day bring you great adventures that offer you the courage to be YOU. May the optimism and belief that the answer lies just over the next horizon invigorate your soul!
Hold that dial, Saturn is Stationing.
If Saturn were music it would be something classical like Vivaldi Four Seasons. An accomplished piece of work that stands the test of time. It is such a beautiful musical composition that it moves the listener and can create an individual moving experience. Saturn likes when hard work and discipline result in a masterpiece. One must study for years to master an instrument.
Saturn has been retrograde since April 19th. Today the Planet stations. This means after spinning backward in relation to us, it is stopping (stationing) and tomorrow it will move forward (direct).
Now is the time to look back at all that has transpired since April 19th. What goals or commitments have you been encountering or thinking about? It is time to bring those ideas into manifestation as it moves forward. Time to act.
This may show up as a "crossroads"- time to make a choice. Time to choose what direction and where you are willing to stay the course and commit. Do the hard work necessary to commit to the end game, pushing yourself each day towards the top of the mountain.
Mars is DIRECT, time to move forward!
Mars went retrograde on June 26th. If there is any Planet not so happy being retrograde it would be Mars. If you look at the glyph of Mars, it is a circle with an arrow. Arrows point outward and indicate direct force. When arrows are spinning in the reverse direction, things can be quite challenging- depression (anger turned inwards) or frustrating.
Mars has been directing us personally to stop in our tracks and review where we have been. It may have been bringing in old wounds as well. This is not always so comfortable. In addition, when we want to get certain things done and get our life moving, and Mars is saying "it is time for retrospection and reconsideration", we can feel frustrated. It could lead to anger pointed at ourselves leading to depression or however your anger manifests without an outlet.
Think back to June 26th and what was happening then. What issue may have surfaced in the past few months? Have you seen things from a different perspective than before? Are there new goals or aspirations, desires, that have spoken to you that could be launched now that Mars in is forward, direct motion?
It has been a Summer of many Planets in retrograde. Saturn, the Lord of Karma and Discipline, will come out of retrograde September 8th, this will really help to allow for hard work to pay off.
The Moon is in Aries, the Mars ruled Moon. It is fire and courage that guides the Aries energy. Aries can be naturally courageous or learning how to be in this lifetime. Attracting opportunities to defend and be victorious, a natural bravery may be experienced when Aries energy is on the table.
So go on, get a moving, honor your passion, and take steps forward to get where you want to go! For a more personal understanding, consider a reading www.crescentmoonastrology.com
The Sun enters Virgo today after spending 30 days in Leo. Virgo is all about making something better. There is a natural affinity to being able to see how something could be improved. There is also a real commitment with this sign to stay the course. The inspiration is the betterment of something, no matter how much daily effort is required. It is the hard-worker of the zodiac, ideally coming from a place of humility. Sometimes associated with the Servant, it is aligned with the desire to serve and improve something for the world.
Leo is about creation in itself, Virgo is about serving that creation. Virgo will refine it as necessary when the chinks appear in the armor. Saturn and Uranus have been in early Earth sign degrees so the Sun will trine both of them and be inspired by their messages. Saturn is saying, "Commit already". While Saturn is currently in retrograde, it is a little less enforceful, more reminding us of the long range goals we have set for ourselves. How we can stay to that path once it goes direct in the beginning of September?
With the influence of Uranus, Uranus is touting the importance of being present with your body. What are some of the inspirations coming from your basic embodied self? Do a body scan and see what areas of your body may be out of alignment. We all have chakras or energy centers running up and down our body. What part is weak or strong? How might you fortify the less vital sections of your body?
The Moon right next to Mars may make us feel a certain urgency to do it all and make up for lost time. Take in the messages and begin to point your arrow in the direction of where you want to go starting August 28th when Mars goes direct. Keep your cool and lean into the Grand Earth Triine that seeks to give us a sense of stability among any potential chaos.
For a more personal understanding, consider a reading which looks at what energies you were born with and how the Planets are influencing you now.
Grand Earth Trine (Almost)
We are nearing the last few days of the Sun being in Leo at 28 degrees. All signs are 30 degrees, so when it gets to 0 in 2 days, it will be the beginning of Virgo. We see a Capricorn Moon and Uranus in Taurus and including the Sun we get a Grand Earth Trine. And yet, almost. With the Sun in a fire sign at the final degrees, we get to see that last spark of creation. What is it that is truly still burning after a month of fire energy? Where are the last bit of embers still holding true?
With a supportive Saturn in Capricorn near the Moon today, we may feel the need to reconfirm our long range goals. We yearn to bring something of form and importance to our world. What are those things that only you can bring forth? With Uranus in the mix, we always want to look at what sets us apart from the crowd. What is it that is truly unique about us that sometimes makes others squirm, however we are that essence at the core. We all bring something different to the table, it can be a life journey learning how to express that individuality. Uranus will always be your master in that area of life.
Let the sparks of inspiration flow in while you keep a grounded center, leaning into the Earth energy that wants to stabilize you. If you feel a little scattered, go outside and root into the core of the Earth, commune and thank our Mother Earth who is always there to hold us up and keep us on the ground.

Moon in Scorpio Opposing Uranus
The Moon enters Scorpio this morning. Scorpio is a water sign that is associated with the depths of the water where it is still. As it is so deep, there can be little light. Scorpio is tapped into the picture beyond the picture. It is keenly aware of the elephant in the room. Seeking to bond deeply once it has gained trust, it wants to penetrate and embrace the true reality. True reality always contains darkness and light. Scorpio is not afraid to honor the darkness, rather it finds a richness and an vitality by feeling it all.
Today the Moon will oppose Uranus, the Planet of Awakening. Uranus seeks to break the mold in order to lead to higher consciousness. We may experience a deeper awareness of our reality today. The truth of our lives, the parts we may have shoved into the closet, may break open today. Aiding in this energy towards truthful awareness is Jupiter in Scorpio, the Planet of Expansion. Jupiter will seek to make the issue as large as possible so we can see and feel them.
The major news story this morning is "Husband confesses to killing family". This fits perfectly in the energy of the moment. Dark reality and truth coming out. The energy of right now need not be dark, it may be also deeply emotional and bonding, rich in intimacy and connection.
Keep open to whatever is arising for you. Accept that what may be unearthed is brought to your consciousness order to bring clarity. We can take steps towards honoring our feelings, resulting in deeper bonds and connections. Watch for a beautiful Moon with Jupiter very close by in the sky tonight.
Mars moves into Capricorn, Virgo Moon
Mars has been retrograde most of the Summer. Today it moves back into Capricorn. Capricorn is a different energy than Aquarius where it has been since end of May. Capricorn's main goal is work towards building something grand. Associated with mountains, this sign sees that hard work and diligence will bring you to the peak. It is conscious that Rome was not built in a day and through concentrated and focused effort, we can move mountains.
With the Planet of Will and Desire moving back into Capricorn, we ask ourselves what was happening around May 14th? We are revisiting that time from a retrospective viewpoint. What did we want at that time? What long range goals were we working on? How can we reignite that commitment and discipline to move forward and continue the momentum?
With the Moon in Virgo, we may feel like we want to cross the t's and dot the i's. No stone left unturned. We may feel like being thorough in our work or finally have the will to complete a task that has seemed mundane or boring.
It is a good time to check in with your health, how can you improve those daily routines? It is a wonderful time to center yourself and ground with the Earth. Things may seem quite solid right now, leaning into the dense rooted energy happening with 5 Planets in Earth signs.
Spend some time contemplating your big goals and formulate a way to make that happen. It may be a little easier at the moment with a steady foundation.

Leo Solar Eclipse 8.11.18
Early this morning, the Sun and the Moon united to bring a Solar Eclipse and a New Moon in Leo. In order to have an Eclipse, the Sun and Moon cross each other near the Ecliptic, an event that does not happen at every New Moon. Eclipses bring on a certain intensity as the Sun and Moon enter each others energy fields and shift things visually and internally. Can you feel it?
Leo is symbolized by the Child, the Performer and Kings and Queens. Ruled by the Sun, it is a vibrant, beaming, radiant sign that exudes warmth. Often associated with creativity and play, this is a fun sign to be around. As the Sun lights up whatever it touches, Leo can have a large glowing presence, seeking to see that big light reflected back. As we know in the solar system every Planet orbits around the Sun, making this sign the attract of our life force energy. Wherever we have Leo in our chart, we are called to get creative, playful and express ourselves.
Under this Solar Eclipse energy, we find that there is a concentration of energy in Leo. As it is around a New Moon, typically that means a New beginning where we can plant our intentions to bloom at Full Moon. As this Eclipse occurs near the North Node of the Moon, it's aim is to make shifts to propel us towards our future. Where might you be holding yourself back and need to shine? Is there creative expression that is just waiting to be given birth?
Solar Eclipses can create outward life changes that may be unexpected. Often life force energy will fade out (death) or arise (birth). Pay attention to whatever is being born and what is falling away may no longer serve you anymore.
Each of us is a unique being having a particular energetic combination as the chart cast from the moment of your birth reflects. You were born to exude the light from within, that spark of divine creation that is always with you. How can you empower that life force and let it loose? Honoring your individual makeup through shining outward your playful essence fosters growth for the rest of your chart. Shine on You Crazy diamond!
Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun
Shine on you crazy diamond
Now there's a look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky
Shine on you crazy diamond
You were caught on the crossfire of childhood and stardom
Blown on the steel breeze
Come on you target for faraway laughter
Come on you stranger, you legend, you martyr, and shine
You reached for the secret too soon, you cried for the moon
Shine on you crazy diamond
Threatened by shadows at night, and exposed in the light
Shine on you crazy diamond
Well you wore out your welcome with random precision
Rode on the steel breeze
Come on you raver, you seer of visions
Come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine

Venus Square Saturn
Venus, the goddess of Love, the Planet of what pleases us and what we find beautiful is "squaring" Saturn. Venus in Libra is about balance and the give and take in relationships. Saturn is the Lord of Karma and he asks us to commit. Saturn wants us to be noble, honorable, and respectable, finishing what we start, staying true to our word. Saturn teaches us that hard work pays off and Rome was not built in a day. When Saturn is in Capricorn, there is an emphasis on bringing something worthwhile into form. Staying committed for the long haul to bring something into fruition.
When the Planet Venus engages in a friction or tension with Saturn, we may feel some tension or friction in our relationships. Relationships are typically places of pleasure, until they are not. Libra wants harmony and fairness, the symbol of Justice. With this aspect, we have come to a crossroads and are asked to negotiate to bring back to equilibrium if necessary.
Saturn is checking in with us and asking if what we have built is aligning , should we continue to build our relationship? Whether in relationship or not, all those that you relate to may feel a certain level of "checks and balances". Is it an equal playing field or is there an imbalance? The shadow of Venus in Libra is to play nice and not rock the boat.
Chiron in Aries is also in the mix bringing that wound ' front and center' so it can be healed. Whatever is arising now is asking us to have the courage (Aries) to come to terms with whatever is ailing us and others in relating.
Uranus is in the stew as well "trining" Saturn and forming an "inconjunct" to Venus. Uranus may be saying, "whatever Saturn, get over it and break it open". "Enough with trying to have duty and be accountable, let's live day to day as more of a free spirit". Uranus is definitely the wild card rebel who pushes the limits of our stability. He will not stand for complacency. As much as he wants to stir the pot, the aim is to get us to be true to ourselves, no matter what that entails.
Remember to enter contemplation now is very well supported as many Planets are in retrograde. We may feel a level of frustration and tension, always knowing that the "pause" is recommended before any action right now.
Tomorrow we have an New Moon Eclipse in Leo. Stay tuned!

Don't turn that dial, the station is broadcasting! Uranus, the Planet of Thunderbolts and Lighting, oh very very frightening! Sounds daunting, and yet this is the Planet of Liberation! It is the player in the solar system that says "Hey, I will do my own thing, and march to the beat of my own drum". It is a rebel of sorts as it rolls instead of spins, and even has a name that can be pronounced to say a naughty word.
Today it "stations". What that means is it will move retrograde or appear to be spinning backwards, and today it will stop or station. When a Planet stations it is part of the process of changing directions. For in order to go a different direction, we need to apply the brake (station) and then turn a different direction (retrograde).
Uranus is the "Awakener" as it is one of the slow moving outer Planets and can bring to light the unexpected. The purpose of the shift is always to "enlighten" or bring forward information that may result in change. In that way, we sometimes find Uranian influence to be shocking as it may seem to have come out of left field. How else do you crack open that which may be so "stuck" ?
Of particular interest is that Uranus has been "squaring" the Nodes of the Moon. These two points in space where the Moon crosses the Ecliptic reflect the evolving journey of growth. The South Node or upside down horseshoe reflects the past and where we have been. The North Node that looks like a horseshoe "N" reflecting where we are headed.
With Uranus putting tension through the square, that means there may have been unexpected events happening in our lives with the goal of getting us on the right track.
In some sense, we can trust these shifts as they are built to bring into awareness our true calling. With Uranus turning retrograde, the energy falls into the all the "RE" words. Review, recalibrate, renew, reconsider, rectify, etc.
Now is the time to look at your journey and where you are headed and contemplate where you want to go. What changes may have shown up for you lately, and how are they landing with your ultimate vision? Are there awakenings that have taken place? How do you want to apply this new awareness into your unfolding story?
Many Planets are currently retrograde- Mars, Saturn, Pluto, Neptune, Mercury which means the undercurrent of the Universe is asking us to turn inward and consider where we are. How do we want to move forward in the future? Action around these changes will not be well supported right now so hold off on getting frustrating if things are not happening at the pace you would like. Keep revisting the grander vision at play and take some time to review your journey.
For a more personal interpretation, please consider a reading.
Gemini is the symbol Roman Numeral 2 and is the sign of the Twins. A quick moving air sign that is ruled by the fastest Planet to orbit the Sun, Mercury. Mercury is associated with communication as it is where we taking information in through listening and responding. This dual function is represented by the "two-ness" or Twins, for you to communicate we need to give and receive.
With a Moon in Gemini, we may feel extra chatty or social today. We may have lots of thoughts going on, information may be heard or felt. A good way to use this energy would be to write or read, be open to anything that stimulates your mind. Need to study or learn something? Today would be a great day to feed your mind.
Gemini's evolutionary aim is to be curious. Let your curiousity run wild and keep the inquiries and the questions at the forefront of your day.
The Moon will interact with Mars today by a pleasing trine aspect. Mars is the Planet of will and determination, the push that gets us out of bed in the morning. At this time Mars is 'retrograde' or appearing to spin backwards in relation to Earth. This is taking it's toll on all of us as we may feel we want to do something and move forward, however we quickly lose the "chutzpah". Procrastination can be a killer right now. The aim of this inward turning is to get us to review our journey and contemplate how we want to move forward. We are particularly focused on the past and even the past traumas that may have gotten stuck. As we open to awarenenss, we can heal these rough patches and move forward with greater grace when Mars goes 'direct' on August 28th.
Venus enters Libra today from Virgo. In the past month, we may have desired to improve our relations or been focused on the details. Now with the Venus' entrance into Libra, we may want a sense of camaraderie and to seek to balance and peace our relationships. This is a good time to honor equality and negotiate, aiming to achieve an equal playing field.

Today the Moon is in Taurus.
TTTTTaurus. This is one of the slowest moving signs as it's goal is to achieve calm after the warrior energy of Aries. As an Earth sign,it tunes into the sensory world like an animal. If it is hungry, it eats, if it feels tired, it sleeps...life is right down to the simplicity of existence.
Awww the breath, one of Taurus' key tools to keeping itself chill. We just passed the Last Quarter Moon mark yesterday where there may have been a tension or reflection as to what happened since the Full Moon a week ago. Where have you felt called to put your energy?
The Moon will trine Venus today, and trines are always pleasing aspects meaning that relating with others may feel easier today. Venus is in Virgo, which is an Earthy hard working sign desiring to serve, and improve whatever crosses its path. This may feel like a day to take care of business or serve, doing so in a rooted, grounded, calm manner.
This is a fabulous day to take it slow and pay attention to whatever arises in regards to making the world better a better place for yourself and others.
For a personal interpretation, please see my website www.crescentmoonastrology.com

The Gemini Sun and Mercury are both at the 14 degree mark, giving each other a little kiss. In that connection, they infuse each other with lots and lots of ideas and banter. The mind may feel so active today it almost seems hard to keep track of it all. But not to worry, Gemini's greatest gift is filtering and keeping what truly matters and letting the majority of the data flow right on by. It's fast and furious, and not about holding what would be overwhelming with the amount that will cross a Gemini's path.
With a dreamy Pisces Moon arriving early today, we may feel like we just want to notice what lies in and around us. We may not feel oh so driven today, and are reminded to take in all your levels of awareness when you take a pause, be it dreams, the arts, or just a soft gaze upon the foreground. Pisces has an active imagination and prefers to reside in the land of enchantment. Let yourself go there for even just a moment today.
The water trinity is still spinning between Venus in Cancer, Neptune in Pisces, and Jupiter in Scorpio. With water it is all about the feelings and the ebbs and flows of that reality. We may be looking at some emotional family material that is pulling at our heart strings. Cry to release the tension and listen to the voices within that you may usually push to the side. The messages seek to transform your heart, calling on the wisdom of the great forces in the universe.
Uranus enters Taurus today, May 15th at 9:33 am, EDT.
Uranus spends about 7 years in a sign, so shifting into a new sign is nothing to batt an eye at. Uranus is the wild card of the zodiac, responsible for the unpredictable, the genius who dares to think outside the box, and ultimately a planet that can bring 'awakening' or a shift in consciousness.
Uranus, even the name can be pronounced a few ways, and one way speaks of the unspeakable body part. "Your anus". Jokes aside, the movement into rock steady stable, slow moving Taurus sounds like the energy could be at odds with itself. Liberate fixed, stubborn "bull-headed" energy ? Does this mean the changes will not just happen overnight and in some shocking way, but rather a slow and steady build?
If we look historically when Uranus entered Taurus in 1934, we find the beginning of the Security and Exchange Commission. Money is big in the Taurus arena as it reflects our values. We put our money where our mouth is and spend what we believe is worth our hard earned shillings. We may see changes economically that reset our values, to get us more aligned with what we really need. As Saturn moves through Capricorn, the gluttony is not well tolerated now. Uranus will echo this sentiment, but not in such a rule-abiding way. Uranus is electric, so the changes will swing in whatever means necessary to align with the real value. How far have we travelled from knowing the simple value of something? We charge on credit to purchase something in the now. Uranus may have less patience for excess and that which is not truly necessary for survival.
We also find that Hitler was in power, a Taurus himself. A horrendous tragedy that changed the daily struggle to survive for many people- let's not revisit this deep dark, and twisted shadow please! This was shocking and revolutionary, which is Uranian. Pluto was in Cancer- home and family were being transformed and that is a byproduct of that regime. With Pluto in Capricorn now, the power is not to manipulate family (Cancer), the power is about removing heirarchichal structures which hopefully will keep the tyrants at bay.
Taurus is truly about simplicity. As we shift from trailblazing , fire energy Aries, to earthy, steady Taurus who seeks to take a breath after the chaos, our breath may become our best friend for the next 7 years. Taurus recognizes it has a body and lives life from that mileu. "Oh, I smell something and hear birds in the distance. ..Is that my stomach rumbling, should I eat something? Now I am tired, let's have a nap." Taurus lives from the body sensation and rhythm. Just like an animal who listens to what the body is saying as a means for survival, we too are encouraged to tune in to the bodies messages, and let it set the pace.
Slowing down and being still are Taurus' gifts. With Uranus shaking things up, we may be rattled back to our centers. Not such a bad idea as rooting and grounding offer clarity in times of crisis, but the unpredictability of the correction may get interesting. We can help ourselves with this adjustment by going back to the breath when we get rattled. Uranus wants us to return to the body, to awaken consciousness of this earth suit. We can choose to nurture ourselves through the 5 senses, and choose to align with our most beloved Earth and honor her.
In some ways, we have grown so far from the bare essentials for survival as a human race. Food, shelter, clothing are in excess for some humans and others still struggle daily to have these basic needs met. Taurus is the survival master and we can expect lessons to flush out what we need and value to survive.
And let's not forget Gaia, Mother Earth, Pachamama for she has supports us daily through our burdens. We as a society have gotten a little detached from her as our focus has become directed towards technology and the less tangible. Earth is our mother, offering everything we need to survive. We will see a 'getting back to nature' motif which will help rebalance this out of balance and detached way of treating our great Mother.
And in saying all of this, we must remember that Uranus is unpredictable and aimed at bringing shifts in consciousness so we can 'wake up'. Remember to breathe and ground, honor your connection to this sacred Earth as we shift into a new season of awareness.
you saw me standing alone
without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own
You knew just what I was there for
You heard me saying a prayer for
Someone I really could care for
And then they suddenly appeared before me
The only one my arms will ever hold
I heard somebody whisper
Please adore me
And when I looked
The moon had turned to gold
Billie Holiday - Blue Moon Lyrics | MetroLyrics
This Libra Full Moon Blue Moon really stirs the relationship arena. Libra, the symbol of the justice scales, proclaims fairness and equality. When we meet the sign of Libra in the zodiac, we bring in the energy of another, and how to balance the give and take.
When we look at the axis of Aries and Libra, we are in the polarity of Self and Other. The Sun is in Aries hanging tight with Mercury retrograde which is walking us right down memory lane or unfinished business lane. We may interact with those we need to say something to, an old friend may suddenly appear.
Aries is about bravery and the courage to be yourself, the Warrior is the archetype. Libra is fed by connection with others and pursues harmony. Libra is keen to see many sides of a situation, which leaves the Libran somewhat undecided. The goal is to strike a well-rounded choice after considering all positions.
At play in this Full Moon moment is Saturn and Mars in Capricorn. They are providing tension to this relationship axis and Saturn is not ready to suffer fools. Saturn in Capricorn yearns for commitment and structure. If the plan ain't working, ditch the plan and get one that works. Mars can be punchy and lack patience when the fire and passion are ignited making for a warning to watch the temper these days or you may catch yourself leaving some words rather left unsaid. It is in what we say 'balsalmic phase' to Saturn or the final stage which may lead to endings.
As the Sun, Mercury, Moon, Saturn, and Mars are in Cardinal signs, this is also beginning energy or energy that ignites the new. As the Moon shines a bright light on where we are in our relationships, our relationship to ourselves and others. What are the messages? Are there adjustments to be made in our relationships? Are we in need of loving ourselves more? How have our dependencies on others become out of balance? Are we unwilling to lean on others and trust or are we not taking our own responsibility for ourselves? How can we offer more of ourselves to others while still maintaining our power and passion?
This image of the Moon and the rock formation depicts Libra. You can see the rocks are leaning on each other to make an arc. If one rock moves, the balance would be off and the formation would crumble. These rocks have found just the right amount of pressure and weight to pull this off. This is what we strive for in relating- perfect harmony and balance, give-take, trusting the other 'rocks' can take your weight, offering your support and structure for the other 'rocks'.
The Sun shifts into Aries this morning marking the Spring Equinox. The Sun has moved halfway from where it was at Winter Solstice in December, and in 3 months will arrive at Summer Solstice in June. This is the beginning of Spring. You may have started to notice more birds and wildlife in your day to day experience, and more flowers and trees starting to bloom. It feels like new birth is happening all around.
Aries, this is the 1st zodiac sign, which would imply it is the beginning, the start. In the pagan calendar, this is the NEW YEAR- not in the cold of winter as we celebrated in the Northern Hemisphere, in the season of Capricorn. Aries is FIRE, it is the raw and purest form of passion. Just as the strike of a match explodes into a spark, Aries ignites. In a split second, Aries follows the explosion, bursting into life. With boundless courage and setting aside fear, it is the WARRIOR. Aries responds to the call in an instant, without a lot of forethought. For in Tarot, we associate it with the FOOL.
Lately we have been in awareness of the wound we carry with the Sun in Pisces right next to Chiron. We are moving into Aries now, still within sight of the wound, but feeling the strength to move forward with courage.
Aries is Cardinal energy and we associate that mode with "starting the engines" and initiation. Cardinal signs begin and get things rolling. The 4 cardinal signs reflect pivotal moments in the zodiac- equinoxes and solstices.
We find Mars in Capricorn, another Cardinal Sign, in square or tension to Aries. Mars rules Aries and yet, is asking for Aries to cool it's jets a bit and have some sort of plan. Capricorn admires the courage and passion of Aries, but requests it not just go full steam ahead. Capricorn wants to be productive, much like Aries, however as it is an Earth Sign with some experience under it's belt, it is wise to the value of thinking things through.
As you embark on your own journey with the Aries Sun, what is it that you want to start? What do you want to initiate with all your passion , while still coming up with a strategic plan of action? The New Moon in Pisces is about surrendering and having compassion for our deepest wound. Like the Centaur, Chiron who was half horse, half man and had a wound that would not heal, he learned the lessons of that wound. In learning to accept that the wound would not kill him, as he was immortal, he was able to use that wound's wisdom to help and heal others.
The Moon and Sun are right next to Chiron at this New Moon making it a very rich time to go within and offer ourselves compassion around what ails us. Being in the sign of Pisces, we may want help from our dreams, our imagination, and the spirit realm as Pisces is all about the transcendent world or non rational reality. God, Goddess, Buddha, Allah, Archangels, whatever is your place of peace in times of crisis where you find the faith to carry on and just believe.
It is time to plant a seed and offer that wound which may be your ultimate teacher acceptance and compassion. For through the journey we can come through to our ultimate essence, stronger and able to offer service to others. Take a moment to align with your faith and ask for some transcendence and healing of that wound. You may choose to turn over or surrender some of your pain, acknowledging it will always be with you on your journey, but ultimately transformed to something that becomes your greatest strength.
At Full Moon on March 31st, look back to see how your relationship with your wound has shifted through believing, accepting and surrendering to all that you are, the divinely created healer within you.
Full Moon in Virgo- the Virgin, the Servant, the Maiden, the Perfectionist
With a Full Moon in Virgo, we may feel the intensity of what may need 'a fixing'. Virgo is an Earth element sign and when working with the material world it excels. Virgo keeps us busy and intentional as we move about accomplishing the somewhat mundane tasks of living. Virgo sees the potential and promise of daily effort. It knows the importance of being prepared. Virgo understands the importance of growing or nurturing new life, so will be the ones to know in any crisis.
This Full Moon may bring in the shadow of Virgo which is worry and doubt. Being a sign ruled by Mercury, the communication Planet, Virgo has a tendency to get lost in thoughts. The "doer" quality of this sign seems to counter the mental anquish, especially if one can feel useful and competent.
The Pisces ship is sailing with the Sun, Neptune, Mercury, Venus and Chiron in Pisces. Pisces is the imaginative, dreamy, meditative sign that opposes Virgo. Living from the water, it is a more of a flowing feeling sign that prefers to stay clear of mundane reality. Pisces gravitates towards the ethereal, the less physical, that which we cannot always explain in words. The Mystic that has one part of self on the earth plane and the other part communing with spirit.
Pisces shadow can be illusion and martyrdom as it gets caught trying to apply the rules of the spirit world to the material world. The rules of the material world will not work in the spirit world either. Pisces is learning how to just be and surrender to what is. Watch for lessons around this arising now.
This is an excellent time to imagine, well beyond rational reality. Counterbalancing you may start to drift away, will be the mighty Virgo Moon reminding you that each step on Earth creates something.
Working together Pisces and Virgo realize together, they can bring a little bit of heaven down to Earth.
