Super Duper!! This Full Moon will appear larger as it is closer to Earth than other times of the year for the next 3 months. Will we be able to see the difference? We may notice a visual difference or it may appear to be just about the same. What we do know is that based on proximity of it's energy being closer to Mother Earth, we may feel the effects more intensely. At the Cancer New Moon, we focused on connecting with our hearts and embracing our emotions. From there we set intentions to heal our hearts through love whether that involved expanding, releasing or calling in love. Now the Moon is getting ready to flower, to blossom, to show up as large and radiant as it can be for us. As in all Full Moons, it is opposite the radiant Sun, allowing for the entire face to be illuminated. The sign opposite the Cancer Sun is Capricorn, the wise elder, the responsible one, the one who achieves greatness through hard work and discipline and desires to work on the physical, material plane. This can cause a physical manifestation as a result of the seeds we planted during the New Moon. If we have done the hard work of being honest with our emotions, softened our hearts, called up wounds and potential restrictions to be healed by the energy of love, we may experience a great blessing under this Full Moon. Something intangible, such as emotion, wants to move into the realm of the physical or tangible. It craves something REAL, something we can see and touch. The energy of Capricorn calls up structure and form and the archetypal glyph looks a bit like a cross with a tail pointing into the Earth, our base as Earth Dwellers. The vibration of Capricorn and Cancer is "Cardinal" which has an initiatory spark that creates a new cycle, leading to change, and guiding us in a new direction. The Moon's Nodal axis, which carries the energy of where we have been and who we are to become, is also in Cardinal signs of Libra and Aries. The Libra and Aries axis highlights the balance between self and other, interdependence and independence, our individuality and our relationships. We are being tasked to break out of the hardened, conditioned, habitual approaches to relating. Mars in Libra, hugging the North Node or where we can develop collectively in this life, is applying a lot of force and will in finding compromise with other. Uranus in Aries, approaching the South Node which represents the familiar reactions and habitual ways of showing up in the world, is asking all of us to break free from the ways we have hardened ourselves as individuals. Liberate, break out of the chains that bind you, be bold and courageous to climb a new mountain. The implication that the Sun and the Moon are squaring the Nodal axis, forming a Cardinal X, is an opportunity to put forth a new road map, open to new possibilities and jump on the powerful thrust of energy to start anew. The squaring angle of the Sun and Moon to the Nodal Axis means somehow we may have missed or "skipped" shining our light in relationships or with self, accepting to be in the shadows or scurrying away when the going got tough. We may had or have the tendency to approach our emotions from a place of logic and certainty rather than from a flowing, dynamic, vulnerable place. We have the opportunity now to reach for the stars, transform our conditioning and move into the new light of day.
