The Gemini Moon will continue to T-off the many Planets in Virgo and Pisces. Neptune, Chiron on the “dream team” and Jupiter, Venus and Mars on the “let’s get crafty” team. With the Moon in Gemini until the early morning hours of tomorrow, we may find our minds are active with some thoughts around what needs to be taken care of. We may start to see the steps laid before us with a little more clarity if we can begin to stop the mental chatter and separate that which is valuable and that which can be set aside. Today the Sun comes into perfect flow with Neptune, the mystical dreamer, and so we may feel a creative or meditative energy allowing us to follow our imaginations. They may appear with a certain realness as we start to enter the season of decay. Our environment starts to wane as the Sun begins its retreat from the Northern Hemisphere, things are darker so we begin to call in the light through fire and candles. As we approach this season of renewal, we will be focusing on absolute truths such as the reality that we will all pass. A reality that has varying levels of acceptance and yet, the holiday that reminds of such impermanence is the “All Hallows Eve” where we see ghosts, goblins, fairies, and zombie type images as people willingly dress as even “devils”, bring us into awareness of the “underworld”. We celebrate the dramatic change and yet, we have an uneasiness with it that comes to the core of Scorpio. It is “edgy” as that which sparks a reaction inside us as it rides the line of “aliveness” to do just that- bring the shadow energy alive. As the Sun retreats this time of year, so do we, allowing ourselves to rest, replenish and restore our vitality as we walk slowly into the dark season of rich contrast smelling of cinnamon and frankincense, and a desire to put on a warm coat, and “cuddle up”.
For Halloween, we will have a Cancer Moon opposing Pluto, Lord of the Underworld bringing in more flavor for a “trick or treat” mentality as the sensitive, protective heart comes in contact with the Planet of shadow and power. This could make for deep and meaningful emotions or perhaps, ones that tug on the heart. A cathartic emotional release such as crying can help one to adjust to this season of change.
