Can you feel the shift in productivity? Is there something pulling at you to get organized and focused?
A few days ago Saturn, the Lord of Karma, moved out of “retrograde” motion and entered forward or “direct” motion in relation to Earth. Saturn entered into this backward spin at the end of March, so for the past few months, you may have felt a little challenged to take the necessary steps forward. This has been a time for clarifying your goals and what structures you may desire to build in the world. Saturn is our task master and has the discipline to build the masterpiece knowing that “London Bridge was not built in a day”. With this understanding, it is important to make conscious decisions and be able to fully commit in order to be able to withstand the test of time it will take to achieve your aims. When Saturn made this turn in March, it was interacting with Jupiter in Virgo and Venus in Pisces. The axis of Pisces and Virgo deal with humility, compassion, and discernment. In Pisces, we get in touch with what may lie beyond our physical experience to entertain the mystical quality of life. In Virgo, we desire to maintain that compassionate understanding of “all that is” found in Pisces. Through that place of connection, Virgo excels at bringing that energy into physical form through a task such as cooking or gardening nourishing the soul and promoting healing. Saturn was sitting at the midpoint of this axis (Pisces/Virgo) in Sagittarius forming a “T-Square”, causing us feel a certain edge or friction around our beliefs and what we may have chosen to value in our lives. We may have felt a certain sense of “crisis in meaning” as to “what is really going on”. This crisis may have led us to go beyond ourselves through acts of prayer, meditation, or helping those in need or it may have led us into a level of depression. Through this internal tension, we may have gotten some clarity around what is truly important to us and how we may want to make choices going forward. In this search of contemplating our values, beliefs, and health practices, we may have discovered we want to make some adjustments. The mutability of Pisces, Sagittarius and Virgo offer the ability to change what may no longer serve our greatest potential. At the beginning of Saturn’s retrograde in March, Venus was in Pisces reminding us that we are beings connected to more than we see. Venus was not visible in the sky for a period of time to really connect with the unseen realm and the parts of us that may be hidden from clear view. With that expanded awareness of connections, Venus has now moved to the other side of the zodiac in Virgo assisting us to bring that experience down to Earth. If the past few months, we may have had some upheavals that asked us what we believe in and truly value. This may have brought us to places of greater compassion for ourselves and our world as we came in contact with outdated ways of being and believing. For in the struggles, we find the opportunities to make “new choices in the face of old circumstances” said Jeffrey Wolf Green. This is the time to get things in order and start moving in the direction of your goals. Saturn can help you to put one foot in front of the other, heading towards the mountain top, one step at a time. May this steady elder guide you to your mountain peak!
