![]() Scorpio New Moon , October 30th, 10:38 am PST The Moon returns to the Sun to start up the “New Phase”, winding down from our last Full Moon 2 weeks ago. In the light of Scorpio, we find the archetype of the Investigator, the Therapist, the Transformer and the Researcher. Being a fixed water sign, a good tool to help the Scorpion would be scuba gear to breathe in the murky depths as it plummets into the crevices to find the answers to the mysteries of life. A sign of intensity, it seeks to embrace the shadows, burn off the stale remnants, release the attachments and purify its essence. This is deep soul work, sacred transformation of that which no longer serves the light from within. During a New Moon, we have the opportunity to start anew, planting seeds that will flourish at the Full Moon. We are encouraged under this New Moon energy to dig deep. To ask ourselves the harder questions, to uncover that which may be lying just below the façade, the smile we project out to the world. What are our secrets, where do we feel any sense of shame, and how can we begin to invite this “shadow self” to the table and allow us to become more integrated and accepting of our totality. As we start to bring a voice to these discarded or buried parts, we can transcend and purify as “that which we resist, persists”. Other energies during this New Moon include Neptune providing a supportive and compassionate connection to the realm of visions and dreams. Can we open our lens wider to take in everything, and allow our relationship with the universe or the divine to provide a feeling of faith and unlimited possibility? As Neptune is right next to the South Node of the Moon, the marker of our tendencies and habits that reflect our past, we will want to pay attention to anything coming up for us. It is as if we have a portal into that where we have been, and we are ready to throw off any illusions or delusions, fantasies or “fuzzy goggle type” interpretations of reality and move towards “getting real” with ourselves under the Scorpio dynamic. With awareness of who we have been, how can we release and surrender to bring about more wholeness? Sit with yourself and have the hard conversation that is ultimately aligned with your honesty and truth. Write down what seeds you want to plant moving forward that embrace the dark and the light. What is ready to be transformed and purified? This is a new opportunity that will come to fruition at Full Moon in 2 weeks.
